Pokémon Go is a genuine phenomenon. In just a few short weeks it is now used more often than Tinder or Twitter. It has gotten people out of their houses and into the fresh air. It is one of the few things that seems to make everyone around you nicer. Yes. It’s silly and it really isn’t more than a massive suck on your time, but that is sort of the point. Turning on the news is libel to send you into a panic attack lately, and we are on the front edge of two weeks of political conventions. That’s enough to make anyone despondent. If nothing else, Pokémon Go is a great distraction. In fact, as much fun as the game is to play, people are finding that it is even more fun to play with a partner. 1. Pokémon Go in the Park
This is the best time of the year to spend the afternoon in the park. the weather is warm, the sun is out. Pack a picnic lunch, and bring along a couple of battery sticks for your phones. Between relaxing on the grass and enjoying each other’s company, go on little walks around the park together with Pokémon Go. Not only are parks known to be a great place to catch Pokémon, but as more people go there to hunt, it will draw in even more and rarer Pokémon to the area.
2. The Poke’ Crawl.
Savvy restaurants and pubs are on to the Pokémon Go craze and they’ve started dropping lures to bring in customers. Find a popular street, with plenty of smaller establishments and start walking from one end to the next. Stop as you please for the odd snack or a pint. It’s a great way to spend an evening. Some of the coffee shops and cafes are even offering special deals if you come in and show them your Pokémon Trainer.
3. A Poke’ Selfie Safari.
This is more about having fun with your date than actually trying to make sure you both catch ’em all! Head out with your date in search of some Pokémon. Each time one pops up on either of your phones, You or your date will get into the photo frame with the Pokémon and try to create the funniest or craziest pic. By the end of the day, you’ll have a ton of amazing and silly memories to share with each other over a pint, a glass of wine, or even just snuggled up on the sofa together.
